Teaser: Ultra Series Intake Manifold

Yesterday a few images of our new Ultra-Series Intake Manifold were leaked on the internet. We weren't planning to release this information so soon, however the amount of chatter the pictures created we really had no choice but to chime in. The all-new Skunk2 Ultra-Series Intake Manifold is getting close to final production and a full press release will be coming soon, but for the time being here some information and a few images to hold you over.

Features:
-High-flowing tapered runners
-Angled runners for better flow and fitment
-Beefy casting with additional material on top halves of runners for addition porting
-Stackable billet spacers for additional plenum volume/size
-Shared Honda/Acura B18C and B16 intake manifold bolt patterns

Tizzo - Currently the B-Series and K-Series are going to be the ones that we release and offer. Granted, for the H-series guys, we do offer the adapter plate once we get them back in-stock.

I have a k20z3. Would this manifold and your 90mm throttle body be overkill for a DD 400whp turbo setup?

Michael - It wouldn't necessarily be an overkill although the 90mm TB currently isn't designed as a DBW TB. You would need to have the Cable Throttle conversion, etc.

Rucko - the manifold is designed to fit the B16, B18c5 and B18c1 currently. Non-Vtec designs are not currently in the works.

Christian - rough measures would be 8" from the face of the flange to the small end of the plenum (around #1 cyl runner) that ramps up to about 10 1/2" from the face to the tip of the TB flange at it's highest point. At it's widest points it would be roughly 18 1/2" across.

When would the B18c1 manifold be available for sale in the market I got USDM gsr that just pulled 191whp on the dyno yesterday just on boltons with a skunk2 manifold trying to get to 200 on stock internals.Would really like to know a release date thanx!

Yamil - The manifolds are currently ranging from $713.99 to $839.99 with respects to the different plenum sizes. ie: 3.5L, 4.5L & 5.5L

Pork Chops - The manifold has been released! However, being on a stock engine with bolt-ons, the manifold is going to be rather large for your setup and not really benefit.

Ok, with this manifold, will all other throttle bodies work with it? Meaning do i need to purchase the the ultra throttle body as well? Or can i use the sk2 70mm?

Bernard - The manifold does require the mustang 5.0 4-bolt throttle-bodies. You cannot use a standard Honda bolt pattern TB with the Ultra Race Manifold

Ok, will the ultra throttle body mate to the manifold with no problems? And any extra brackets needed?

when is the k series coming out?
Skunk2 CJ (Customer Service and Tech Support)
[96] Mar 13th, 2013 @ 12:22 PM
Bernard - The 90mm Pro-Series TB is the only TB WE offer that works for the Ultra RACE Manifold. It utilizes the Mustang 4-Bolt Pattern.

Mattia - The standard aftermarket TB's made for the Hondas will not work. It needs the Mustang 4-Bolt like our 90mm PRO Series TBs.

Brian - The K series are still a little ways out. We're getting the B STREET Manifolds finished and out currently.

I'm guessing the MAP sensor will have to be firewall mount type?

will the manifolds have all the oem sensor plug? it look like it missing the idle control sensor bolts on to?
Skunk2 CJ (Customer Service and Tech Support)
[99] Mar 27th, 2013 @ 4:04 PM
Ivan - Typically the MAP sensors are on the TB and not the manifolds themselves. Remember - these are only the B series manifolds currently.

Toua - They will have the IAC mounting location on the back-side of the manifold. Aside from that, there are vacuum fittings and NPT threaded sections to add any reference you need. They are designed for RACE applications as opposed to retaining OEM emission metering components.
