Skunk2 How-To: '06-'11 Civic Si Cold-Air Intake Install

Skunk2's all-new Cold-Air Intake system for the '06-'11 Civic Si is the most comprehensive kit available. Each kit includes relocation hardware for the battery, ECU, fuse box, and cooling system reservoir tank as well as high-quality stainless steel hose clamps and mounting hardware. Unlike other intake systems, only Skunk2’s unique design and brackets allow for the OEM battery to be retained. A specially shaped, silicone upper radiator hose is also included with each kit to ensure maximum clearance for the intake tubing and proper fitment.

With a fair amount of parts included, we figured that a video demonstrating how to install the system might help. Check it out.

do i have to drill new holes for the batteries

Joey - Yes, Drilling a 8mm hole for one of the mounting points for the Isolator Mount is required.

ok if i was to take this intake to a shop would they know to drill the hole and size or do i have to tell to do this and that

Joey - Realistically if you give them the instructions there SHOULD be no issues with installing the kit. Unless they've installed the intake previously they wouldn't know the exact particulars.

what size throttle body would be best to run this intake?

Ben - The larger, the better. The larger OEM options or our 72mm would be the best options. We do have the coupler initially when the kit is purchased to work with the OE TB to appease those just wanting an intake but the larger coupler is available separately to accommodate the larger TBs.
