Epic Bike Ride

What: The "Car Guy" bike ride
When: February 19, 20, 21, 22
Where: San Francisco Bay Area, CA

Skunk2 is organizing a bike ride for any car guys who also like riding bikes.
Riders fall into two categories: Car guys who love bikes, and "bike guys" who love cars. If that's you, please come join us for four days of riding or just pick and choose what days you'd like to ride. We'lll try and have some optional routes and distances to suit your abilities.

This is a great opportunity for you to come meet and kick back with some really cool people. Hanging out after the ride is as fun as the ride itself!

Tentative ride locales are as follows:
Friday 19th – Pescadero-Santa Cruz via Hwy 1 along the coast (flat/rolling terrain, easy 15-18mph average for approximately 60 miles).
Saturday 20th AM – Spectrum ride. This is a fast ride for experienced riders (flat/rolling terrain, hard 24+mph average for approximately 30 miles; first half faster, second half easier).
Saturday 20th PM – Infineon raceway in Sonoma. The track has given us permission to ride our bikes on course (easy, go however fast or slow you want).
Sunday 21st – Mt. Tamalpais (hilly terrain, average speed...?...for approximately 50 miles; we’ll ride across the Golden Gate Bridge!).
Monday 22nd – Wine Country (flat terrain, easy 15-18mph average for approximately 40-60 miles)

Tentative Riders:
Ray Lee (Compass360 Racing – crew chief)
Bo Buisson (Compass 360 Racing – data acquisition specialist )
Lawson Aschenbach (Compass360 Racing – pro driver)
Dave Hsu (Skunk2 Racing – founder)
Dr. Charles (Skunk2 Racing – out of shape car genius; hang with the Doctor if you run out of breath)
Nicolas Rondet (Jim Russell Racing – chief driving instructor, pro driver)
Ken Dobson (Jim Russell Racing – driving instructor, pro driver)
George Ciordas (KW Suspension – marketing manager)
Ming Tan (Look Cycles, USA – VP of marketing)
Sean Coffey (Easton/Bell/Giro – marketing/brand manager)
Dustin Adler (Honda-Tech.com – founder)

Email AaronB@skunk2.com if you are interested.
We’ll post up more details as we get closer to the days of the ride.
