Firefly Update
It's been awhile!

I haven’t had much of a chance lately to progress on the car, but this week has been different. (Thank God!) I had the flu recently and was sick for a few weeks. I didn’t go out; I just stayed home. Staying home was a blessing in disguise for me though because it injected the excitement of my build back into my bones. Before this, I was down about the build for a few reasons. Bad paint situations over and over, along with losing money that isn’t exactly easy for me to replace, made me very sour about the whole thing. But this reinvigoration soon had me jumping and anxious to work on the car again.

Monday, I was crazy with excitement and got back into the swing of things at the shop. I took some measurements on some things I plan to change, took a list down of some bolts I need to replace, and went through the harness to make sure all of my connectors were there.

Here's a shot from last Monday. The bay was pretty dirty, but you get the idea. It needed to be cleaned.

Wednesday, I went back to the shop and started to tackle the small things.

Had to pick up two new 12mm Honda nuts for my mount.

I cleaned the bay with some car wash, rinsed it out, then hit it with some air.

Later I attached the Skunk2 emblem on my new Pro Series intake manifold.

Overhead shot. Bent-ass brake lines are not going to make the cut.

Close up. I'll be moving the position of the fuel pressure regulator soon.

Close-up shot of the engine bay paint. Thanks to John of JJH Customs on the work!

Painted the booster a different shade than the bay, with a textured paint, then put it in. I like the difference.

I took out my JDM ITR Recaros. Unfortunately they got wet and moldy. I'm not happy about it, but it gives me a chance to clean them.

All of the pictures are from my BlackBerry, but you can see the progress. Tomorrow I'll test-fit the intake, change a few more bolts, and possibly put the axles in. I need the lift for a few things and it may be occupied tomorrow, so we'll see. By the way, shout-outs to Rock and Matt and the guys over at JR Racing for letting me use the lift at the dyno shop! You guys have been a massive help!

More pics Monday.

Nice photos,

Some of the folks that I work with back here at Lockheed Marietta have civics and are all jazzed in doing projects, some maintenance, some modification and some racing, at various levels. There's still a small, active and growing Honda tuning community here in Georgia. I'm doing a little sporting-up to a purple 94 EX that's my daily driver as-well-as a complete body-up K24/K20, (turbo?) JDM 5 lug, to my California bought 92 EG6 Si.
