Hi! I'm Dave, the founder of Skunk2 Racing. Except for industry folks, most people have no idea who I am because I've always been a very private person (borderline anti-social) and have avoided the spotlight like it was the plague. Though my role at Skunk2 has always been performed behind the curtain, those close to me have always encouraged me to share my experiences and ideas publicly. Over the years there have been several times where I wanted to “say” things to set the record straight, but there has never been an appropriate forum to do so. It's exciting to finally have a platform that allows me to share thoughts, opinions, history, and insider information with enthusiasts and friends of Skunk2.

Over the past decade and a half, for better or worse, I have gained the reputation in this industry as being “brutally honest.” It’s amazing to me that so much of the information found in magazines or on the internet has either been “sanitized” for the readers' protection or is downright incorrect. This blog will be a great opportunity for me to share the “real” stories, drama, and bullsh*t I've had the fortune or misfortune to come across in the import racing and performance business.
